MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Specifications

The 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset features an 8-core system with Arm Cortex-X3 CPU cores running at 3.05GHz, 3 Arm Cortex-A715 CPU cores running at 2.85GHz, and 4 Arm Cortex-A510 CPU cores running at 1.8GHz. When compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, it is reported to give up to 35% better AI APU performance in the ETHZ5.0 benchmark and up to 30% power savings with AI-NR.

It supports LPDDR5X memory with speeds of up to 8533Mbps and FS 4.0 with Multi-Circular Queue (MCQ). The Arm Immortalis-G715 GPU supports hardware-based ray tracing for graphics. The chipset also supports MediaTek’s HyperEngine 6.0 Gaming Technology, which allows for quicker and more powerful gaming. MediaTek AI-SR and MEMC are two more gaming features.

The Dimensity 9200 can also support a 144Hz display in WQHD resolution and a 5K display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. The MediaTek MiraVision 890 provides a brighter, more detailed visual experience.

The Imagiq 890 image signal processor (ISP) can offer better low-light photos, cinematic films, and improved AI motion unblur technologies in imaging. Native RGBW sensors are also supported.

Wi-Fi 7, sub-6GHz and super-fast mmWave 5G connectivity, Bluetooth version 5.3, Bluetooth low energy (LE) audio, and other features are included in the SoC.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor will be available in smartphones before the end of this year. The new Vivo X90 will be powered by the Dimensity 9200 SoC, according to Vivo. Xiaomi, Oppo, and others are likely to include the new chipset. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 will compete with the soon-to-be-released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
